The late Ray Rexer, a hard Rocker who published Castle Schlock -- a hilarious parody of Castle Rock, which at times with its sycophantic reviews was a ripe target for lampooning -- said it all in his poem, an ode to the original Rock:
It's been around for five full years with stories and reviews, and screaming editorials and horrifying news. For five full years it crammed me full of Stephen King-ish stuff, then Mr. Spruce, The Editor, proclaimed, "Enough's enough!" |
